Splish, Splash (5.1.2012)

This is a great splash page that I caught in the latest issue of the Justice League.  I am particularly partial to Martian Manhunter (obviously) and besides Stormwatch this is his first foray into the new DC continuity.  Jim Lee's artwork (especially his splash pages) is spectacular, and this is no exception!  This one piece has a lot going on in it.  I also really appreciate Lee's attention to detail in representing Martian Manhunter's gambit of powers.  His strength, heat vision, intangibility, etc. are all included in this splash page, which adds that little extra touch that makes a great splash page into an amazing one.

While perusing the DC Comics website this morning (looking at today's new releases) I came across some truly awesome cover art.  I think that DC pulled out some of the stops this week, because I was fairly impressed with the lot.  Below are the covers for the Flash #3, Aquaman #3, Green Lantern: New Guardians #3, and Superman #3.  Hopefully you enjoy these pieces as much as I did!
